The demographic development und the flexibilization of employment demands new forms of accommodation. It includes the asset class micro living. The conditions for investments in the European countries are different. Very well are performing Germany, France, Great- Britain and the Netherlands. In the respective capitals and metropolitan regions of those cities students and young professionals have to deal a lot with tense housing markets. The study “Micro Living in Europe” came to this results in which were analysed the investment-hotspots.
In Germany can be found a considerable potential specific in the medium price range where far too few houses have been built. Germany and Great Britain belong with nearly 86 percent of the overall registered transaction volume to the most attractive markets. Especially for longer, temporary stays alternatives to hotel rooms are welcome for young professionals, project workers and commuters.
The demand potential of this target groups can be rated high in most European cities. The high demand as well the professionalisation on supply side are good arguments for investors to take the segment short-to-medium- term in the focal point of interest.
